If we’re honest, McLaren’s never-ending numerical naming schemes representing a mechanical engineer’s scribble book were becoming a bit erm… bland and uninspiring. So, names like Senna and now Artura are a breath of fresh air, and so is the concept behind the Artura – it’s the supercar maker’s first-ever series production High-Performance Hybrid supercar. Powering the Artura is a combination of a V6-twin-turbo petrol engine that produces 430 kW, while the supplemental E-Motor produces 70 kW to aid in off-the-line acceleration. While local pricing, or availability for that matter, has not been announced, UK pricing will set you back just shy of R3.8-million.
