A Luxurious Life on the Ocean Waves

Riva Yachts |

Since Riva’s inception in 1842, it has brought some of the most aspirational, iconic and breathtaking yachting masterpieces to the global boating market.

Riva is renowned for its stylish and richly varnished mahogany wooden day boats owned by the world’s elite in the golden decades of the 1950s and 60s. Founder, Carlo Riva, created a celebrity persona for the brand with its famous mahogany range of boats and passionately marketed these runabouts – so much so that the rich and famous all succumbed to the allure of the Riva brand. These included famous personalities like Brigitte Bardot, Elizabeth Taylor, Gianni Agnelli, Prince Rainier and Grace Kelly and, more recently, Hollywood stars like George Clooney. The appearance of the brand’s beautiful yachts in numerous blockbuster movies also contributed to its international prominence.

Although timber was the primary material used in past creations, like the Tritone and the famous and collectable Aquarama, Riva transitioned to composite hulls in the late 1960s to allow for the creation of much larger vessels. Nowadays, Riva creates day boats from the 27ft Iseo up to the beautiful 56ft Rivale, and larger yachts in the form of the 66ft Ribelle up to the 130ft Riva Bellissima. More recently, Riva launched its Superyachts Division to create custom yachts with lengths ranging from 50 to 90 m, or even longer.

Today, each creation is still deeply rooted in Riva’s rich history. Riva delivers classic yet modern yachting masterpieces that offer rare individuality, true craftsmanship, elegance and timeless appeal unrivalled in modern boating creations.
