A SIGNIFICANT MILESTONE

HINO POMONA: FIRST BLACK-OWNED DEALERSHIP

Hino, a prominent Japanese truck manufacturer, has established a strong presence in South Africa over its illustrious history. Since the arrival of its first truck in 1972, Hino has flourished, expanding its reach across the country through a network of 67 dealerships. Notably, Hino Pomona is a dealership undergoing significant transformation and progress.

Hino Pomona emerges as a pioneering establishment, distinguishing itself as the first 100% Black-owned Hino dealership in South Africa, with 65% ownership by women. This groundbreaking achievement stems from Isipho Capital’s acquisition of all assets from the Motus Group, propelling Hino Pomona into prominence. The dealership is located strategically at 61 Maple Road, Pomona, Kempton Park, which is pivotal in the Hino network. Its location within the bustling logistics hub of Gauteng, adjacent to the R21 and OR Tambo International Airport, underscores its strategic significance.

STRATEGIC ADVANTAGES

Beyond its strategic location, Hino Pomona boasts state-of-the-art facilities tailored for business expansion in truck sales and maintenance. Boasting a comprehensive parts and service centre, the dealership caters to modern high-roof trucks and trailers, ensuring seamless maintenance operations. Including advanced diagnostic equipment enhances efficiency in vehicle servicing, complemented by round-the-clock servicing by appointment. This commitment to accessibility minimises downtime for fleet operators, bolstering operational efficiency.

CUSTOMER-CENTRIC APPROACH

Hino Pomona prioritises customer convenience through innovative service solutions. Its mobile workshop directly extends servicing and minor repairs to customers’ premises, alleviating logistical concerns. Moreover, the dealership maintains an extensive inventory of genuine Hino replacement and service parts, ensuring reliable daily customer support.

LAST WORD

The transformation of Hino Pomona into a Black-owned establishment, with women holding the majority stake, marks a significant milestone. Congratulations to Isipho Capital for this inspiring achievement, poised to elevate Hino Pomona as a standout performer within the brand’s South African portfolio.
