ALL-ELECTRIC HYPERCAR FROM PININFARINA

Automobili Pininfarina has commenced production of the new Battista all-electric hypercar in Italy. The award-winning Battista features a carbon fibre monocoque chassis and body, integrated with the drivetrain, battery and power electronics sourced from Rimac Automobili. Four electric motors generate 1,400 kW of power and 2,300 Nm of torque, apportioned to each wheel using Rimac’s advanced torque vectoring system.

Delivering a level of performance that is unachievable today in any road-legal sports car with an internal combustion engine, the Batista is faster than a current Formula 1 car in the sub-two second 0-100 km/h sprint and accelerates from 0 to 300 km/h in less than 12 seconds.

These performance levels are delivered alongside an electric range of over 500 km on a full charge, thanks to the car’s 120 kWh battery pack, mounted within a solid T-shaped carbon frame low down in the chassis.

The assembly of each Battista takes ten weeks. Each is assembled by ten craftspeople, accounting for more than 1,250 hours in assembly time.

Additional elements can be specified for the exterior, such as the Battista Exterior Jewellery Pack, brake calliper colours and custom finishes for the wheels. There are up to 13.9 quintillion exterior combinations. Interior options include 128 million possible configurations for the colours, materials, and engravings – including the Airline Seat specification sourced from Bentley – enabling clients to custom design a Battista like no other.

Building on a rich history of collectable motoring masterpieces to bear the Pininfarina name, deliveries of the Battista are expected to commence this month. Priced from $2.8 million, total production will be limited to 150 units.
