ALL-ELECTRIC PANEL VAN FOR SA

AEVERSA (Applied Electric Vehicle Energy Reticulation Systems Africa) launched its revolutionary new battery-electric panel van at the Futuroad Expo in Gauteng in June. Boasting a range of 350 km per charge and a full charge in 90 minutes, the new all-electric panel van received significant interest from logistics and supply-chain managers, e-commerce distributors, and value-chain investors.

“With fewer moving parts than their internal combustion engine (ICE) counterparts, battery electric vehicles (BEVs) are more reliable and less expensive to maintain. Charging BEVs is also cheaper, as electricity rates are far more predictable than the oil price,” says Rick Franz, CEO of AEVERSA.

Compared to conventional panel vans, the AEVERSA panel van has 70% lower maintenance costs and up to 60% lower fuel/energy costs when charged from AEVERSA’s ecosystem infrastructure.

A pioneer in the new-energy transport market, AEVERSA also installs the charging ecosystem infrastructure, as well as the fleet and energy optimisation monitoring software. The charging infrastructure is powered by solar energy or any alternative energy source and uses stationary energy storage facilities.

During the first semester of 2021, AEVERSA introduced its first commercial electric vehicle (CEV), a JAC N55 EV 3-tonne truck, into transport fleets and achieved significant savings compared to conventional ICE trucks.

“AEVERSA’s product solutions are extremely relevant in modern-day transport, particularly with the constant increase in fuel and maintenance costs of traditional ICE vehicles that directly impact the total cost of ownership of transport fleets,” concludes Franz.
