The all-new Symmetrical AWD Subaru Crosstrek has finally launched in South Africa, available in two exciting trims and an updated electric power steering, bringing a combination of cutting-edge vehicle safety, refinement, comfort, and capability.
The 2023 Subaru Crosstrek features a striking exterior design that blends ruggedness with modernity. Its bold and athletic stance is highlighted by a prominent hexagonal grille and sleek LED headlights that give it a confident presence on the road. The flared wheel arches and increased ground clearance enhance its off-road capabilities and add to its sporty and adventurous appeal.
Powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder engine, delivering 115 kW of power and 196 Nm of torque with a more efficient Lineartronic CVT transmission with eight-speed paddle-shift manual mode, integrated with Subaru’s legendary Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and X-Mode to tackle urban roads and the great outdoors effortlessly.
The Crosstrek is 15 mm longer and 35 mm flatter, 4,480 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width and 1,580 mm in height, while the wheelbase has been increased by 5 mm.

One of the most exciting features of the Crosstrek’s interior is the 11.6” high-resolution touchscreen display and highly visible controls with cutting-edge technology, such as the wireless Qi charger and wireless smartphone connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, allowing you to effortlessly connect and access all your apps and the navigation system.
The iS model features premium Subaru leather seats with eight-way adjustable power operation, while the iL model comes with comfortable fabric seats, thoughtfully designed with a focus on human comfort, incorporating back-, headrest- and hip outlines that provide excellent lower back support. Additionally, the innovative seat design minimises body movement within the cabin, reducing fatigue and enhancing the overall comfort and refinement for an exceptional driving experience.

Remote Keyless Access and dual-zone climate control come standard across the range with improved focus on the occupied seats. Added features include a new tyre pressure monitoring system, new LED lights that feature corner capabilities to provide a full spectrum when driving at night, a rear-view camera with cross-traffic alert and eight airbags for added safety.
ENHANCED EYESIGHT
To elevate the driving experience and prioritise safety on the road, the Crosstrek is equipped with the newly enhanced EyeSight system that has been refined with more advanced levels of safety, such as the wide-angle camera and Lane Centring Function, to help reduce chances of accidents. Standard adaptive cruise control, pre-collision braking, pre-collision throttle management, lane departure, and sway warning are also available for added peace of mind.
