DARK, DRAMATIC AND ASTONISHINGLY DYNAMIC

As sibling to the handsome New Range Rover, the Range Rover Sport delivers uncompromising luxury in a slightly more compact form. Now, selected Range Rover Sport models are available with Range Rover’s Stealth Pack, which adds a singular layer of exclusivity that brings out the Range Rover Sport’s dark side.

ENHANCED WITH STEALTH

The visceral, sporting performance of the Range Rover Sport is unmistakable in the new Range Rover Sport with the optional Stealth Pack – a dark and dramatic theme.

Meticulously designed to enhance the stealthy exterior, an inky, sophisticated Carpathian Grey premium metallic paint with a satin protective wrap contrasts against an extended black pack, featuring Narvik Black Gloss bonnet vents, lettering, lower front and rear bumpers and side sills.

Its sporting, muscular stance is further enhanced by 23” Gloss Black wheels with black brake callipers, privacy glass and a Narvik Black Gloss contrast roof.

The exterior features a Satin Protective Film for the first time within a Range Rover Sport option pack. Fitted during the production process, the film not only offers a rich and contemporary satin finish, but also provides protective benefits; in the event of scratches or damage, the film can simply be removed and replaced. 

ENTER THE REALM

On the interior, which features sculpted seating, a reductive centre console featuring a single 11.4” touchscreen, an Interactive Driver Display and Meridian Surround Sound System, clients can continue the dark and moody theme with perforated Ebony Windsor Leather, or opt for Light Cloud Windsor Leather. Both colours are available with Natural Black Veneers.

Range Rover Sport features a reductionist console design with the latest 11.4” InControl touchscreen, digital technologies updated over the air, and heightened security features.

According to Hannah Custance, Range Rover Materiality Design Manager, “The new Range Rover Sport Stealth Pack option is inspired by a refined and contemporary sports aesthetic. It was created for clients seeking a specification conveying empowerment and strength. The introduction of the Range Rover Sport Stealth Pack, with a satin-wrapped exterior and extended use of Narvik Black Gloss, pushes dramatic luxury even further.”

Further delivering modern sporting luxury, the Range Rover Sport with Stealth Pack also features the latest technologies and innovations, including cabin air purification and security features such as walkaway locking and unlocking on approach as standard, with software-over-the-air updates.

A POWERFUL FOUNDATION

The Range Rover Sport’s distinctive character and dynamic capability are delivered via a range of six-cylinder turbo-petrol and turbodiesel engines – all available with the Stealth Pack option when the Dynamic SE grade is selected. 

The range opener is the D350 Dynamic SE that draws its considerable power from Range Rover’s 3.0-litre in-line six-cylinder Ingenium turbodiesel engine, establishing the Range Rover Sport’s unique position in the luxury SUV market with 258 kW of power and a vast 700 Nm of torque – delivered to the road via an eight-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The D350 will, according to Range Rover, complete the zero to 100 km/h dash in 5.9 seconds, while its optimal average fuel consumption is stated to be 7.4 l/100 km. 

The turbodiesel Range Rover Sport Dynamic SE’s AJ300D motor was first introduced in 2020, and combines with a 48-volt electric architecture to support an electric supercharger, belt-starter generator, and extended engine shut-offs while coasting or while stopped in traffic. The mild-hybrid set-up also features in the rest of the line-up, including the equivalent 3.0-litre twin-charger petrol Ingenium engine.

Delivering 294 kW and 550 Nm of torque for the Range Rover Sport P400 Dynamic SE, this unique powerplant combines an exhaust-driven turbocharger and electric supercharger to deliver commanding performance and utmost refinement, with each system mitigating the limitations of the other. Capable of propelling the three-tonne luxury SUV to 100 km/h from a standstill in a mere 5.7 seconds, the effortless power of the P400 with Stealth Pack is simply undeniable.

The third option offered with the optional Stealth Pack is the Range Rover Sport P460e Dynamic SE, a vehicle that commands attention while delivering the best of internal combustion technology with a burst of electric efficiency.

Combining the same in-line-six-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine also available in the P400 Dynamic SE with a plug-in electric hybrid system, the P460e electrifies the senses with 338 kW of power and 550 Nm of torque. Despite being 230 kg heavier than its stablemates due to the addition of the battery and electric motor, the P460e boasts a 5.6-second acceleration time while significantly reducing fuel consumption. It is also capable of an electric-only range of up to 125 km.

LAST WORD

All Range Rover Sport Dynamic SE models earn particular credit for their excellent mechanical refinement and smooth drivability, rich and inviting interior, uncompromising versatility, and the ability to engage and satisfy the driver. With the addition of the Stealth Pack (priced at R153,100) as an option, Dynamic SE models are also elevated to a point of desirability matched by barely any others.
