New Porsche Taycan
Porsche continues to redefine excellence with the comprehensive update to its electric masterpiece, the Taycan. More power, quicker acceleration, extended range, and enhanced charging stability mark just a few of the numerous upgrades in this latest iteration.
Style and sophistication take centre stage as Porsche refines the Taycan’s design, notably distinguishing the Turbo models with a sharper aesthetic. Inside, a reimagined cockpit integrates cutting-edge technology, boasting an extensive list of standard features and the latest Porsche Driver Experience interface.
Available in three body variants – the Taycan sports sedan, the versatile Taycan Cross Turismo with off-road capabilities, and the sporty Taycan Sport Turismo – the line-up offers four powertrain options, including rear- and all-wheel-drive variants.
Performance gets a significant boost, with acceleration times slashed. Two examples from both ends of the spectrum: the Taycan reaches the 100 km/h mark from a standstill in just 4.8, while the Taycan Turbo S blitzes it in just 2.4 seconds.
With the new push-to-pass function in the Sport Chrono package, a boost of up to 70 kW can be called upon for 10 seconds at the touch of a button. For example, the base Taycan delivers 60 kW more than before. In the Taycan Turbo S, it’s an additional 140 kW with Launch Control, increasing the system output of the top model to an incredible 700 kW.
The Performance Battery Plus now has a gross capacity of 105 kWh, increased from 93 kWh, which allows for the range to be increased to 678 km, an increase of 175 km (35%). It also recharges faster, charging at up to 320 kW. That’s 50 kW more than before, reducing the time required to go from a 10 to an 80% charge from 37 to just 18 minutes despite its larger battery capacity.

PEUGEOT’S GENIE IN THE COCKPIT
Peugeot is introducing some French flair in the cockpit, pioneering the integration of artificial intelligence into its latest generation models, transforming the driving experience with unprecedented levels of service and interaction. Through its i-Cockpit user interface, customers can now engage with ChatGPT, an innovative voice assistant activated with the command “OK Peugeot”.
This integration marks a significant leap in interactive driving experiences, enhancing pleasure and knowledge discovery while on the road. ChatGPT, developed by OpenAI, leverages the power of generative artificial intelligence, including the technologies from SoundHound’s Chat AI platform. ChatGPT version 3.5 utilises data from the Internet until January 2022, and therefore has no knowledge of events and data occurring after that date.
From recommending landmarks to entertaining passengers with quizzes, ChatGPT is integrated into the i-Cockpit touchscreen, offering engaging interactions. Eligible models include the new 208, 2008, 308, 308SW, 408, 508, 508 SW, E-3008, E-Rifter, E-Traveller, E-Partner, E-Expert, and soon, the E-5008.
Peugeot welcomes customer innovation by offering a pilot phase for ChatGPT activation, providing free access for six months to the first 10,000 eligible customers. Feedback from this phase will inform further development and deployment to all eligible connected vehicles, ensuring a personalised driving experience for all future Peugeot owners. In this phase, ChatGPT will be offered to customers in select European countries, in their language of choice.
VOLVO EX40 DOMINATES EV MARKET
