IN IT FOR THE LONG RUN

ISUZU EXTENDED TRUCK WARRANTY

Any business owner responsible for vehicle maintenance will understand the frustrations of unexpected breakdowns. Regardless of how well you look after your vehicle or how reliable the brand is, unforeseen problems will inevitably sneak up on any business. Isuzu understands how disruptive this can be to a business. Despite the brand’s reputation for reliability, Isuzu has, as of June 2023, given its customers the option to extend the warranty on any new truck purchased.

Previously, Isuzu offered a standard two-year warranty for every truck purchased. However, the company now allows its customers to extend their warranty by a further three years at a model-specific cost ranging between R5,000 and R7,000.

The warranty extension option is, however, only available at the time of purchase and cannot be added at a later stage. To benefit from the warranty extension, truck owners must correctly maintain their trucks according to the official maintenance schedule in the owner’s manual. Should all terms and conditions be adhered to, Isuzu will ensure that your truck is returned to factory specification.

WHY AN EXTENDED WARRANTY?

As is the nature of mechanical engineering, breakdowns or failures can sometimes occur. This is where the warranty comes in handy: guaranteeing the truck against untimely breakdowns should they occur. The Isuzu extended warranty adds peace of mind for extended, stress-free coverage. In addition, an extended warranty often covers a broader range of components and systems than the standard warranty, including significant engine and transmission components, electrical systems, and more. Ultimately, this brings several benefits for fleet owners.

Having extended warranties help fleet owners with cost predictability. As a fleet or truck owner, you can predict your budget for maintenance and repairs, making it easy to manage the business’s finances.

In addition, it also helps with the ease of doing business. Every second of downtime spent with a truck off the road affects your revenue. Thanks to the excellent support guaranteed in the warranty, repairs are expeditiously handled such that the truck is soon back on the road. Resultantly, fleet owners can maintain their operational efficiency.

Another benefit of having the warranty is knowing that your truck is being attended to by qualified technicians who only use genuine parts. This means that the reliability and lifespan of your truck are guaranteed to be better than what you would ordinarily expect when dealing with third-party services.

Ultimately, having a warranty is cheaper than not having it. While a small fee is associated with buying the extended warranty, you will find that it is more affordable than potential repairs, which could cost a whole lot more.

LAST WORD

Due to Isuzu’s extended warranty to its customers, fleet owners have been offered an extra layer of protection against unexpected vehicle breakdowns, which could affect a business’ financial situation. As with health insurance, you would rather deal with the small requisite fees than the heavy expenses when things start going wrong.
