With panel vans now becoming a business trendsetter, Mercedes-Benz Vans is excited to introduce the new Vito to the South African market. This versatile midsize van features an updated design, enhanced comfort, advanced driver-assistance systems, and improved functionality. It represents a significant leap forward regarding connectivity, comfort, and overall performance.
The new Vito displays a sharpened premium character. Its striking design and updated convenience features ensure it remains at the top of its segment. New and expanded driver assistance functions drastically increase comfort and operability. Moreover, the Vito represents a substantial advancement in connectivity, providing Mercedes-Benz commercial customers access to cutting-edge digital networking solutions that enhance convenience, efficiency, and safety.
CUTTING-EDGE CONNECTIVITY WITH MBUX
For the first time, the new Vito includes the MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) infotainment system as standard in all variants, bringing state-of-the-art digital networking to the midsize commercial van segment. The Vito now features a 10.25” central display that can intuitively operate by touch. The instrument cluster has a colour display that clearly shows all relevant information and can be conveniently operated using the touch control panels on the new steering wheel. Modern digital connectivity, including a wide range of Digital Extras, further enhances comfort and relaxed driving for commercial customers.
STYLISH INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR DESIGN
The new Vito makes a statement with its updated interior and exterior design. Inside, the cockpit features a redesigned instrument panel with a touchscreen, new stylish air vents, and a new generation of steering wheels. Leather seating is now standard, elevating the vehicle’s interior with elegance and comfort. The new centre console offers a removable cup holder, two USB-C ports, and open storage areas as optional features.
Externally, the new Vito stands out with its contemporary look. The further-developed design makes it more distinctive and unique as the premium choice in its segment. The new front design is characterised by a powerfully drawn bumper and a new radiator grille, giving the Vito a sleek and dynamic new look that perfectly aligns with the sophisticated image sought by discerning businesses. Five new exterior paint colours, including alpine grey and vintage blue, are available, bringing the total to 15 colours.
VERSATILITY AND PRACTICALITY
With a gross vehicle weight of just 2.8 to 3.2 tonnes, the Vito remains the nifty all-rounder among midsize vans. It is available in three variants: Panel Van, Mixto, and Tourer, as well as two equipment lines. This variety, along with the ability to convert the new Vito in collaboration with South Africa’s range of approved VanPartners, allows the Vito to seamlessly fulfil the requirements of different industries – from tradespeople to maintenance and customer services, as well as fleet operators and upfitters of special transporters for food or emergency medical services. The Vito offers an impressive loading volume of up to 6.6 m³ as a panel van and up to eight seats in the Tourer variant. With a vehicle height under two meters, the Vito can easily navigate urban environments and parking structures, making it a versatile and practical choice for businesses.
SIMPLIFIED EQUIPMENT SELECTION
Mercedes-Benz Vans has significantly simplified equipment selection by enhancing standard features and fine-tuning package options to suit specific customer needs. This streamlines the process of choosing individual options, creating a hassle-free shopping experience for commercial customers.
