Rolls-Royce has taken the notion of bespoke detailing to new heights with its Wraith Luminary collection.
The Luminary Collective uses what the British marque calls ‘a combination of design and craftsmanship’ to magnify the features of the Wraith luxury Grand Tourer.
According to Matthew Danton, Lead Designer of Rolls-Royce Collection Cars, these special edition models are a contemporary execution and it’s looking at what the brand can do now.
“Luminary is a very modern car, it doesn’t look back at the history of Rolls-Royce.”
The idea behind the detailing is to embed the car with light, and in the process ‘redefine’ it.
Illuminated door panels, complete with veneer grain, take design pride of place, while the roof liner also boasts an illuminated design that represents a starry sky.
It’s also not just a slap-on addition that can be made to any Roller, though. Only 55 Luminary models are in existence and are also the only models ever likely to feature this bespoke lighting detail.
