It is a carnival of speed, reverberations and an appreciation of polished lines. It is a celebration of all things motoring. It’s the SA Festival of Motoring, and it promises to be bigger and more spectacular than ever before when it makes its return to the corners of the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit next month.
The latest iteration of SA’s only industry-supported motoring extraordinaire will take place from 31 August to 2 September 2018 as it looks to surpass last year’s show that attracted 57,000 visitors.
This year, though, the organisers are not just looking to raise the roof with bigger numbers, but also to offer an even bigger plethora of interactive motoring entertainment. This will include new lifestyle, education and family-friendly activities that will all provide a more immersive motoring experience than ever before.
WHAT’S HOT AT 2018 FESTIVAL OF MOTORING
With more automotive brands already confirmed, visitors can again expect new car launches, self-drive options, supercars blasting around the track as well as the entertaining 4×4 area where brave adventurers show their true off-road mettle.
A renewed focus on interactive experiences means that self-drive activities will now be available all day, every day at the central handling track as well as the off-road course.
There are even some exciting additions to look forward to this year with double the number of pit doors, a wine garden, plane flyovers, racing action on the track and a focus on edutainment.
Industry thought-leaders will participate in the daily Tech Talks where all the latest trends, technologies, and industry improvements will also be discussed.
There’s even a draw card for automotive history boffins, collectors, and admirers of classic cars who are likely to appreciate the unique story each of these meticulously looked-after cars can tell.
There’s something for everyone; from motoring fanatics to families looking for a fun day out, there’s a motoring experience waiting for you.
